Early Detection is helpful
Type 2 Diabetes often goes undiagnosed because many of its symptoms may seem subtle at first. Recent studies1 indicate that the early detection of diabetes symptoms and treatment can decrease the chance of developing diabetes complications.
Symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes
- Increased thirst
- Frequent urination
- Extreme hunger
- Unusual weight loss
- Vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Extreme fatigue and irritability
Symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes2
- Any of the Type 1 symptoms
- Frequent infections
- Blurred vision
- Cuts/bruises that are slow to heal
- Tingling/numbness in the hands/feet
- Recurring skin, gum, or bladder infections
